Monopoly Token Vote and Giveaway

Jedi’s favorite board game is Monopoly. I’ve spent I don’t know how many Sundays playing it with him. The truth is, it’s my favorite game, too. I enjoy playing it with him, but I also love the nostalgic factor. I remember spending an afternoon trying to bankrupt my own mother as a kid.

Part of the nostalgia lies in the iconic tokens to the game. They are the same now as they were then. My favorite is usually the Scottie dog, while my son likes either the racecar or battleship. I remember my mom always using the thimble.

A bit of change can be good, however. Now, one of those familiar tokens will be retired while a new token takes its place. And as fans of the game, the fate rests in your hands!

Save your token! Which of the above classic pieces would you rescue from retirement? It’s difficult for me to choose just one since I hold memories with several, but I think ultimately my vote goes for the racecar. I honestly don’t remember ever seeing the wheelbarrow before, maybe we lost that piece early on.

Which of the new pieces would you like to see added? I would have to go with the robot.
