We may have 90 degree temperatures coming up this week still, but autumn is just around the corner. And we’re getting ready with fun crafts that celebrate the colors of fall like this Cupcake Liner Fall Tree craft!
That’s right, we used cupcake liners in orange, red, and yellow for our fall leaves on our Cupcake Liner Fall Tree craft! How fun is that? The orange cupcake liners are regular sized while the red and yellow are for mini cupcakes. Glued onto cut-out shapes of brown cardstock, it makes a beautiful and very seasonal fall tree afternoon project that your kids will love gluing in place.
As for the glue, we used regular school glue, but glue sticks would probably work better and be less messy. I, for some reason, didn’t have glue sticks, though. Bad crafter. But either way works.
- heavy brown cardstock
- regular sized orange cupcake liners
- mini yellow and red cupcake liners
- glue stick or school glue
First, cut a long rectangle for the tree trunk and a large circle from the brown cardstock. Glue together.
With the regular sized orange liners, begin gluing in the middle of the top circle working your way out. Let some hang over the edges and curl up.
Once the orange has covered the circle of brown cardstock, start adding your mini red and yellow liners randomly until you achieve your perfect fall tree.
