We’ve made a couple crafts for Earth Day already, utilizing recycle and reuse, but now we’re making actual earths for Earth Day!
Still on the reuse and recycle kick, we made Earth Ornaments made from old CDs!
A great craft for kids, hang these vibrant Earth Day CD Ornaments where the sun shines for a great way to appreciate the beauty of our Earth.
- 2 old CDs
- blue and green paint
- pink paper
- yarn or string (something to hang the CD with)
- hole punch
Paint the shiny underside of each CD with a thin coat of blue. Let dry, then paint some green on both. The more brushstrokes you make, the better.
Cut out 2 heart shapes out of the pink paper. Glue those in the center of each CD, covering the hole.
Also cut a small half circle out of whatever color paper you have on hand. Glue on the top of the back of one CD. Punch a hole for your string.
Glue both CDs together, making sure the hearts on both are facing up.
Tie your yarn or string to hang your Earth CD Ornament for Earth Day!
