Every year for Easter, I buy more plastic eggs. Because I’m somehow afraid that I’m not going to have enough, even though we have plenty. I’m going to be taken over by plastic eggs soon.
What to do with all those eggs? Or, the plastic eggs that are bound to get broken.
Make this Plastic Egg Bunnies Easter Craft!
This is a very easy, quick, and fun craft. In fact, you can fill a whole page with Plastic Egg Bunnies in no time. All you need is paper, paint, and eggs! A pink marker is also optional, for their noses.
- plastic eggs in a variety of colors
- white and black paint & small paintbrush
- paper in bright, Easter colors
- pink marker (optional)
Take your plastic egg apart and, with one end, cut into triangular pieces. Round the corners if needed. You should be able to get 4 triangles, so 2 bunnies, with one end. You may have to help the younger kids with this step.
Dip the other side of the egg in the white paint. Press down on your paper. Make eyes and whiskers. Use either the black paint for their nose, or pink marker.
Glue your plastic egg triangles in place.
Fill those sheets and use up all those extra plastic eggs! You could also take a black pen and make a mouth on them, too, with a simple line down from their nose and a curved line for the mouth. This is a super fun craft that all ages can do.
