We live in a small house. And the 5 of us, we all share one bathroom. Plus there’s the matter of having friends over and house guests. Let’s just say, it gets a lot of use. Thus, the bathroom needs to be well stocked and organized. I have great solutions to both of those problems!
First, a well stocked bathroom means toilet paper. It’s a necessity. There’s nothing worse than running out when you need it most. Quilted Northern® Ultra Soft & Strong® with Cleanstretch (9 Mega Rolls) at Walmart allows us to get the most from a roll of toilet paper. Because the best bathroom experiences are the ones you don’t remember, Quilted Northern® is designed so you can forget your bathroom experience.
The Quilted Northern® Ultra Soft & Strong® with Cleanstretch mega pack offers the opportunity to keep your home fully stocked and organized at all times so that you’re always ready for sudden guests or last minute get-togethers. Mega is a 4X bigger roll (*than their regular rolls) so you’re not worried about refilling the roll!
Because less time refilling the roll means more time getting the rest of the room ready for guests. And when you’re dealing with a small bathroom, storage and organization is key.
As a blogger, I get a lot of boxes. Better than throwing all of those plain cardboard shipping boxes away, they can easily be turned into a designer Rope-Wrapped DIY Storage Box in under 10 minutes with just some rope, ribbon, and a flour sack towel.
To start transforming a plain shipping box into a Rope-Wrapped DIY Storage Box, you’ll need to trim the top flaps from the box and gather a spool of craft jute rope. Apply a bead of hot glue at the bottom of the box to secure the rope and begin wrapping.
Continue wrapping and hot gluing as often as you feel is necessary, making sure the strands are close together with no space showing. Then, cut and hot glue the end of the rope to the top of the box, securing in place.
Take a strand of ribbon and adhere it around the center of the box.
Now, I don’t sew. I may be slightly crafty, but sewing is far from my specialty. Thus, I simply took an inexpensive flour sack towel and cut it to fit as a liner inside of the box. Gluing the ends under so no frayed edges were seen, I then hot glued it into place as well.
A super quick and easy way to decorate, organize, and stay mega prepped for any unexpected moments and guests!
- empty cardboard shipping box
- jute rope
- wide-width ribbon
- flour sack towel
- hot glue
First, cut the top flaps off of the box. Starting in one corner, apply a large drop of hot glue and secure the beginning of the rope in place. Continue wrapping and hot gluing until the box is completely covered, making sure the strands are tightly placed together. Finish by cutting to end the rope and adhering in the final corner with another dab of hot glue.
Take your choice of wide-width ribbon and glue it around the center of the box.
Then, trim a flour sack to fit the inside of the box. Glue the sides of the flour sack under to hide any frayed edges. Then glue in place, wrapping and securing the sides almost like you would wrapping paper on a gift box.
Fill your new designer Rope-Wrapped DIY Storage Box with extra rolls of Quilted Northern® Ultra Soft & Strong® and any other bathroom necessities you think your guests might need. No one will ever know it’s just a shipping box! What easy steps will you take to keep your bathroom megaprepped?
